Just added a Gen V Launch Edition to my little collection
Discussion
Hi all, I am in the process of building a little collection of the "last" great manual cars for 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 cylinders with no marque duplicates and picked up the Viper on Friday. I have already put 400 miles on her and absolutely love it. I lived in the US for 11 years and drove earlier generations which I liked but the Gen V is on a whole different level. I had done my homework but was still surprised at how good the steering and overall balance of the car was. Can't wait to get some more miles on her and get her on a track. I have a charity race the runway event coming up and was planning on taking one of the other cars but may just take the Viper. Also, before anybody warns me about the engine issues, I am quite aware; the car was delivered new to the UK for the owner of a very large FCA Dealership (he put her on the road in 2015 and put about 6,600 miles on her), she has had all the recalls done. She passed R28 and while I may well have warranty arguments with FCA if the engine blows, I'll just buy a new engine and at the end of the day, I'll still be the lucky "b" who has a Viper.

Looked at your "Garage " OP ,is there anything else you want to add to that frankly awesome collection ?
911R and Murcielago presumably your ultimate 6 and 12.
They are and thanks. I grew up lusting after a red Ferrari, with cream leather and the open gate so will be sticking with the F430 for the 8 cylinder. 911R and Murcielago presumably your ultimate 6 and 12.
For the 4, I am still looking but leaning toward a Lotus Exige S2 RGB or Type 72 or one of the other specails with at least 240hp.
Congratulations on getting the Gen V. As it had been for sale for quite a while I was secretly hoping it would drop to an affordable price (for me). Sadly it was not to be, but maybe I'll get one someday.
For now I'll continue to enjoy mine, and hopefully park next to you at a show sometime for a blue 'n' white photoshoot!

Have fun with your new ride, but be very careful driving it as the Autumn sets in, as i'm sure you are aware there is a fair bit of torque!

... if you get an s2 Elise (exige) you have a good chunk of my lottery win collection! (Viper, LC500, s2 Elise, 911r...). Brilliant! For the 4, I am still looking but leaning toward a Lotus Exige S2 RGB or Type 72 or one of the other specails with at least 240hp.
