So I have driven down to Santa Pod from Scotlad for the Mopar weekend. Woke up this morning ready to hit the track only to find a completely flat rear tyre ??. Got to a tyre shop and it seems I'm losing air where the split rims come together (18" HRE's). I had the wheels taken apart and polished over the winter.
So here I am desperate to get the car down the track with its newly installed Roe Blower, 400 miles from home and can't find a single wheel shop open on a Saturday that can fix this problem.

Anyone know of someone that could take care of this problem?? I really want to go down the track tomorrow!!

Sorry about your trouble - most of us have been at the Silverstone classic meet. I'm on my way north but the rest are staying at the Horwood House Hotel, Milton Keynes.
Phone reception and ask to speak to Mark or Adrian. They are heading along to Santa Pod tomorrow.
Good luck

Glad you got some decent runs at the pod, and ran some great times too, well done !

You should of dragged Colin along, that orange one needs to run on the track

Well I guess you must have sorted it out, as I saw you running a few times smile Wondered how you were getting those times, then found out you had a Roe smile
The weekend has been a bit manic, so sorry we did not get a chance to say hello. Your car looked very clean and in great condition.

I don't have internet or email on my mobile phone (or rather, it is there but I don't know how to use it) frown
So have only just read this after getting home!

Great runs and looking great pity Stuart didn't come down or none of the other vipers wanted to

My missus would not let me race, she didn't want the car to break and have to sit in a AA van all the way home frown
Last time I was there I only got 10 feet on the strip then the bloody UJ snapped causing damage to the rear diff pinion and Half shaft. I also had a full boot full of stuff and no place to put it. Not running a supercharger my times would have been a lot slower. As for the Swiss and Germans, they were on a tour of the UK and did not want to risk any damage to the cars. wink

Understood it's a big risk with the daily drivers.

Hate to know what damage may be in store with that black charger. Was constant
Back and forth down the strip constant sat and Sunday and not giving it much
Time to cool down ect

Thanks guys, had a great weekend dispite the slight leak from my newly put together split rim. Once I realised it was only losing a few psi each hour I bought a pump and just kept topping it up.

It was brilliant to see so many different Vipers there! Was hoping a few might have joined in the racing, would have been cool do go down the strip with another Viper! Maybe next year!

I was really pleased with my times, the video above was my first and slowest run but once I got a feel for it she was running 11.2's. It was a nice surprise at the end to be awarded the "Fastest Modern Muscle" trophy biggrin

The Roe was my winter project and I couldn't be happier with the results. The car just has a blind tune on it from Sean at the moment so will be getting to a dyno for some data to create a more precise tune shortly.

I'll be there next year so hopefully will have a chance to meet those of you I didn't get to talk to this year.

What clutch and drivetrain parts are you running?
