Slipping S/C belt
Discussion
I've not really had the chance to test my new Paxton SC set-up on my 1996 RT/10 properly but today it was being mapped on a dyno. All good to about 6psi then the SC belt started to slip. I have a tensioner fitted but that does not seem to be working very well. Car made 525 lbft at 3,500-4,000 rpm on the dyno. Any advice on how to resolve this issue would be very gratefully received!

Good quality Gates HD belt, smallest size you can physically fit, and ensure tensioner has plenty of travel and never bottoms out.
If the belt stretches too much, or tensioner maxes out ( effectively losing all tension ) it will slip.
Thanks and noted. The belt is of good quality. I think the tensioner is the weak link.If the belt stretches too much, or tensioner maxes out ( effectively losing all tension ) it will slip.
