.........But then I saw this :-

I know it's rubbish, and I know the inside is cheap materials, but 8.0 V10 .. hmm ..
The road trip from QLD to WA would be fun (and expensive on fuel)
Check out the prices of the 6 Vipers on the carsales site.

Glad i wasn't in a viper when I hit the roo just outside Katherine. Didn't bother the Toyota with roo bars much (well a lot less than it did the roo) To be fair I'm equally not sure i fancy hitting the bird which cracked the windscreen north of halls creek, or the fking huge flying bug thing who's splat covered half the windscreen south of Broome. Don't really fancy picking the remains of a butterfly swarm out of the front either.
Driving the Stuart hwy where the road suddenly gets real wide and you realize your now driving down a bush ambulance runway may be a bit more fun. But really, Uluru to SA border in two hours in said Toyota with the foot firmly planted to the floor all the way except two occasions. The junction with the Stuart hyw and the one that really scares me with a viper is the Toyota just about pulled up before the herd of cows in the road. Foot to the floor in a viper.......
