Info on potential purchase RT/10 L80 LTR
Discussion
Hi Guys.
After selling my interceptor I find myself in need of something suitably awsome and have been offered a Gen1 1992 RT/10.
Its Reg number is L80 LTR and is in red.
It had a knock back in 2005 which has been repaired but I wondered if anyone had knowledge of this vehicle.
Any help massivly appreciated.
All the best.
Steve

Hi Steve
Scroll through this thread for background info, which you may find helpful.

edit: its for sale at the same vendor, and looks like it has been for 2 years. http://www.cheshiresportclassics.co.uk/cars/dodge/...
Seems a totally honest and upfront description, same owner over 10 years etc. As for the price, there's no others on the Uk market at the moment to compare it to, unless you want to go up in price and buy the yellow 2001 being sold by a club member
scrolling through the photos, the exterior finish looks very good, but interior leather looks like it needs a good feed, and the dash looks dirty (could just be the pictures though)

Thanks for the comments guys.
I don't mind it being cat d as long as the price reflects this, the thing that bothers me is resale as I know I will not own it for years as as I tend to buy cars I have wanted to own, get out to some shows, meets and track days etc then move on to the next thing after a couple of years.
Not sure about the panel gap around the lights but am I correct in thinking e bonnet can be adjusted?
If it were close I would just take a look but at 4 hour drive (or short flight) I want to do as much research as poss before spending time and money.

They all have big gaps around the bonnet I don't mind it being cat d as long as the price reflects this, the thing that bothers me is resale as I know I will not own it for years as as I tend to buy cars I have wanted to own, get out to some shows, meets and track days etc then move on to the next thing after a couple of years.

I think the key is to get it inspected professionally and make a bid.
Cat d isn't the end of the world - if for example a viper needed a new bonnet flying in from the states and the insurer had to put you in a similar hire car for 4 weeks and pay for the bonnet, hire car, labour, paint etc it could write the car off even if it just had a pranged bonnet etc.
It depends on each car
