Colin popped down for a visit this weekend with his latest creation, he's now ventured into carbon fibre and brought down this hand layed prototype sill.

Sounds like he can replicate just about anything in carbon fibre now as well fibre glass

For you racers it comes in at 1.8kg / 4 lbs or not sure the standard sills weigh

Colin has left it here with me for anyone who wants to see it, let me know. I could just post cut a peice off and send it in the post

Just got back to sunny Scotland, well it might be if it wasn't dark.
Thanks Neil nice pictures, is it on the wall yet or is it on the car?

Hi Pheonix, I am getting a rear wing tomorrow to take moulds from, If all goes as planned I should be able to make them soon. Watch this space

Pheonix Viper, sunny Scotland you are kidding, there is about 100mm of snow here.

Venom500, if you know anybody with a scoop or splitter that would be kind enough to give me a loan of, then yes I should be able to make you them in carbon fibre for you.

Cheerz Neil

Got the rear wing yesterday, everything looks fine. Should manage to mould it and reproduce in both in carbon and fibreglass.
It will be a couple of weeks work but bare with me

Hi Colin,
Thanks for the email- I'll be in touch soon.
FYI- if you don't already have one, you can use my nose/ bumper to take moulds from- I'll be sending it to you for a little reconditioning / crack repair anyway before it gets fitted to the car.

Thanks for the offer Paul but already have the moulds for both. Look forward to hearing from you

Neil, your wing is sorted, did a bit extra time to get it finished for you and it will cost you dear

paul H,if your nose is an orininal viper part it is a rubbery material and cannot be successfully repaired with fibreglass. i keep the kit to repair this material and would be able to repair/paint it if you are interested

Cheers Colin, Nad also has a roof scoop in her "spares collection" that she may lend out.

John- you are absolutely right...I'll be in touch.
One thoughts Colin- I'm also going to need the left & right inner wheel arch inner covers (front, black)- mine were quite badly damaged in the crash, and I am wondering if you can do these also, or should I be looking towards JonB for these?

Paul, I am planning in the not too distant future to be taking a mould of my inner wings, as I plan to make some carbon fibre ones, so yes I can make them for you (in carbon or fibreglass )
Venom500, if you want to ask Nad nicely we could get something sorted. Got the template for the front splitter so should manage something there. Thanx Neil

Nice one Colin. Just out of interest, what are the original inner arches made from- if it's grp, it seems a little thin & flimsy/ flexible? (maybe some sort of resin-based substance, but not being knowledgeable about this sort of thing, please forgive my naivity). If they are grp, then that's fine, I'm just a little concerened (probably wrongly) about all that heat & fire issues.
If the carbon fibre option suits well, that's a good (but possibly expensive) solution to my problem......

Paul, not sure the exact material used on the inner arches. I can use a fire resistant resin, the same I use in the side sills but I don't think there should be much of a problem. Carbon ones will be a bit more expensive but not over the top
