Just had my 50th birthday on Saturday

Got lots of Viper things (people have started buying me Mopar gifts since I announced my future plans, instead of Mustang related stuff of the past 25 birthdays )

I got an 18th scale SRT10 convertible in red (already got a silver one)

1/43 scale GTS

Tee-shirt

Viper driving experience at Goodwood

2 Viper birthday cards - one was personalised with pics of me sat in Richards SRT10 at Silverstone

and I already bought a number plate last year

All I need now is the real thing !!!!!!!!!

My footy team won at last so the only downer on the day was my lottery numbers failed me yet again

As I said, there's always next year..........

I may be wrong but I thought that Mithril used to have a Viper RT/10?

You can book through them but it seems to be the same experience here for about half the price so possibly not their car, just the track?

Yep that's the one, a gen 1 RT/10. The American driving experience was bought for me by my 2 son's along with a C5 'Vette and a Mustang GT (which I already own!)

Looking forward to it, along with some expert tuition hopefully

Step 1, position car in middle of Grid.

Step 2, Make sure steering wheel is lined up straight.

Step 3, Press down clutch, engage 1st Gear, release hand brake.

Step 4, push accelerator down fast and release clutch.

Step 5, Hang on tight.

Step 6, Ignore instructor shouting at you and wipe Grin from your face biggrin

Main thing to remember about changing gear in the Viper is to Palm the shifter away from you when going into 3rd or 4th. If you don't, when you pull out of 3rd thinking you are going into 4th you may pull the stick back slightly toward you which will put the car back into 2nd gear, I think most of us have done it one time or another, thats why there are a few aftermarket shifters out there to help with this problem. wink

Thanks for the link, I've been drooling over it for a couple of years now. It's orac69's old car from Jersey, and was sold by the supercar showroom last year for a lot less than the current asking price, with only 5000 miles on it, to a guy from Northern ireland. If I had £55k to spend I'd be buying the white gen 4 in Germany with 2800 miles on it.

If the blue car was £40k I would be willing to stretch my current budget and buy it, but realistically I'm still looking for a car under £35k, so probably a gen 3 ragtop.
