it only effects 2003-2004, a total 3660 Vipers Mark, so only a few cars over here

The airbag recall for the Gen 3 was issued in March 2013 and it was labelled as for 'early 2000's cars' which I suppose 2004 fits into - hence the confusion here.

I probably need to get mine done and the one just issued this month for my truck, will UK dodge dealers do recall work on imports? Would any of you trust your dealer with the car?? (Don't think I do...)

Edited to add:

Ah! It becomes clear - the initial remedy (from March 2013) did not fix the problem, so there is a more recent update recall. http://driveviper.com/forums/threads/7165-RECALL-0...

Shame on you not trusting an Honest dealer biggrin It would cheer the young mainanics (I mean mechanics) up to rip your car apart and stick a couple of miles on it for a test drive, I bet they could even get that Airbag to inflate for you too, but the front of the car might need a bit of touch up paint biggrin

there isn't any UK dodge dealers now Ginja, they all shut a few years ago I believe

you'll need to go to a Chrysler dealership for any recall work, at least you have Whitehouse down your way who are really good with Vipers, and did have a factory trained viper tech. They did a lot of the recalls for the GTS's several years ago

Are there any Chrysler dealers left? Most of the ones i have tried lately have been Fiat dealers who were told last year they were now Chrysler/jeep as well and that seems to be about it as far a product knowledge goes. The one i went to in wales didn't even know what a viper was until i showed them a pic, and the one in Guildford found the last very dusty bottle of ps fluid and was neatly as surprised as me that it was what i was after!

My 05 Hemi Ram does - just check the VIN in the online tool.
