just registered for the viper event at spa also doing the on track part. In the email it says drive how you like 35 vipers racing for fun in front of public. Take it its not a parade lap then. smile

Hi Sean, Welcome to the Spa event, VOA members have been involved in this since Sept 2013, information has been sent out in Club newsletters smile

So What car do you plan to bring to the Event? I Believe the last day for Hotel registration was last weekend! (according to an email I got from Freddi?)

For anyone that does not know about this, the Event was being Organised by Viper Passion (the French Viper club) and by the German VCA Viper Club America, The UK VOA Viper Owners Association have also been involved and are in the process of sorting something our for our European friends in 2016

As far as the track is concerned, I believe its the exact same format as the Le mans classic, 1/2hr of track time, Overtaking both sides but essentially it is "parade laps" The Weekend is combined with the Spa Classic, so there will be many other Classic cars there too. Not sure on how they plan to do the parade laps yet? With a bit of luck it will be a 1/2 hr Viper only session, but I can't confirm that wink

A while back done the norwich Union classic run which ended at donnington with parade lap and coys classic run which ended at silverstone, both in a 289 manual 67 mustang. Both parade session where ended early as all drivers started to run quicker and quicker, silverstone was ended when a fixed head etype ended in gravel trap.

Welcome Sean - looking forward to meeting you at Spa, if not sooner.
If you (and gt500nick) are interested in joining the Viper Owners Association, drop me a PM and I'll send you more info.
Lots of benefits, including finding out about these sort of trips.

Nick - hope you make it in time before the end of Nov deadline.

I did a quick recce on the crossings. Not that cheap at the moment, there are some options,

Dover Dunkirk, 2 hr crossing on ferry DFDS Ferries depart 7.00 am Thursday / return 16.00 hrs. Sunday = £88.00

Dunkirk to Hotel 2 hrs 35 min

Eurotunnel to Hotel 3 hrs

depart 08.30 / return 15.25 £123.20 35min crossing

might get better pricing in new year?

If you use Tescos and have a club card you can use your discount vouchers towards eurotunnel.

Being a cheapskate, I'm thinking DFDS at the moment but will check offers nearer the time. Could also get Breakfast on the ferry wink
