Viper on track - Brands hatch
Discussion
I haven't been to a track day in the Viper for a while (started using my drift m3 much more as a track weapon). However given that I will be spending the next 6 if not more months in the States, I decided that a sunny Monday at Brands hatch would be an excellent end of the season.
The first two hours it was damp and I was really struggling for traction. It dried out around 11:30 and the grip came back in tons
Here are two videos playing with my brother's GT3 club sport. I was surpised that I was able to keep up (it's very far away from a stock GT3 given it's a Manthey K400 conversion with rose jointed suspension and KW3 cs coilovers). To be fair he had to short shift it because of the noise limit but I was running baffles and they are super restrictive and rob tons of power.
As I told my brother I will be gathering the last parts needed for my N/A build (cam, head gaskets, roller rockers) so he'd better dig deep and prepare for the spring. I will also add poly bushes and switch to BC racing coilovers as the stock shocks with H&R springs are far from perfect for the track.

Hello Max,
Shame it was not the full circuit, the back straight would be nice for the Viper.
So what Baffles were you using to get you on track? Are you using rear or side exit exhausts?
I got the baffles fabricated, very similar to these here Shame it was not the full circuit, the back straight would be nice for the Viper.

They are robbing a lot of power but are bringing down about 4-5db
I measured 103.5 with them and 107.5 without (4.2k rpm)
Bellanger headers, 3in 200 cell cats, 3in Borla mufflers in the side sills and 3in pipes after (no rear muffler), rear exit exhaust
I have another set of the baffles if you are interested but be quick, leaving the country for 6 months on Saturday
btw. it's not a 'stache....full grown beard
