Any vipers out there with aftermarket alarms.....

new insurance and they are asking for cat1 alarm.
Anybody else had this done do you have two remotes or just one and does it still do central locking...

will end up with the hassle of 2 remotes? or are they disabling the OE alarm so you will just have the one

(suggest you edit/remove the make of your alarm, you dont know who reads these threads)

while were talking security, its also very worthwhile covering up the displayed VIN number

They wanted me to have a cat 1 but I fitted an active whatsit with I think five years cover it was 600 quid.

Ever car I have seen with a cat one is a pain in the ar** with two remotes.
