Dont laugh .---- I am thinking about putting my car in for the sva with the corsa fitted but have thought about fitting two mufflers into the tail pipes which will consist of two multi predrilled or mesh pipes approx 2" diameter wrapped around the outsides with heat resistant rockwool and fitted snuggly into the rear of the corsa with blanking plates with holes in the centre welded to the end of the mesh pipe which will be tagged to the rear of the corsa. I have had many 2 stroke motorcross bikes and all have had this system. Do you think this would work?

Yes, I think it will work, the very act of reducing the diameter of the outlets will attenuate the noise levels. Give it a go ! I have also seen some supertrap discs fitted to the back of a Viper exhaust to lower the noise level for track day use, probably with a slight power decrease.
