Subject is self explanatory - I'm based in the NE and need some help - anyone in the Aldershot area know about this car?

Hello welcome to the Viper forum wavey

Sadly I don't but it looks nice smile

Basic things to check are date codes on the tyres, tyres may show good tread but old rubber goes hard and makes driving a viper....interesting!
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.js...

Budget for new rubber wink

If your serious on the car get a Carfax search done (its the USA better version of HPI check) it will give you the history of the car before it got to the UK wink

Check out the Viper registry for build info on the car, Vin number identification Build MDH etc....
http://www.theviperregistry.org/

Check the soft top and the roof fixings in the top of the front windshield, that roof is very expensive! You don't want it blowing off!

Thanks for the welcome and advice. I sent an email to the seller 4 days ago and have had no response so I'll try a 'phone. Are there any viper owners in the Aldershot area who could check it out?

If it's the same car, It came from a collection and was A1 mint condition. .

But as Mark said do a CARFAX as well as a HPI ..
Also if possible get it in the air and do a thorough check over ..

Vin no 1B = Dodge US spec
VIN no 1C = Chrysler export car

Thanks, I appreciate your offer - up in the NE, so not exactly next door to Aldershot. I'll phone the seller tomorrow and hopefully find out more information and comeback with more info.

looks nice and clean but its bog standard 95 RT/10 which IMHO looks really dated IF I purchase something standard like this I know I would be spending 10k on the upgrades then again some might prefer the original car

I've have seen a photograph of the VIN No. and they check out with the VOA registry and advert history. Also seen a copy of the last registered keeper who lived in Carnforth,Lancs. I'm following that up at the moment along with Carfax report.

If all the history checks out I will take up your offer to look at it.
