This looks very much like a car I nearly bought in 2011, same year, same colour scheme, same badge missing from the centre of the steering, very similar mileage, same blue centre console... but it might just be a coincidence. The car I nearly bought turned out to be a total loss vehicle Stateside. Turned out clear on HPI, but showed up bad on Carfax.
It’s got a different reg to the vehicle I checked out, but you can cross check against the VIN.
Reg No - EY55 DXJ
VIN – IB3JZ69Z06V101065
Total loss California August 2009
Shipped to the UK April 2010
I really hope it’s a different vehicle and turns out OK for you.

sounds like a clueless dealer or just playing along to cover it up, though as Baz spotted a challenger in the background they are used to trading US vehicles
you want to make a offer, I see where you get the 'nut' from in your username
if you can afford to throw away money go for it, your forty grand is suddenly worth ten

Good info, one to avoid then, and glad I didn't have cash burning a hole in my pocket last summer. Who knows if the dealer even OWNS the car? could be on SOR so they may not be too bothered. Are you sure it was a 'total loss', which sounds like UK-speak for 'write off', or could it have been just a salvage title with lesser damage, in which case lots of Vipers are successfully returned to the road, obviously at a reduced price. It’s got a different reg to the vehicle I checked out, but you can cross check against the VIN.

If I'm honest Paul, I don't know the true extent of damage. But the Carfax definition of total loss is.
'An insurance company declares a vehicle a total loss if the estimated repair cost, plus the salvage value of the damaged vehicle, exceeds the cash value of the vehicle before it was damaged'
That rang enough alarm bells for me.
