Hi all, currently a TVR Chimaera 500 owner but seriuosly thinking about a Gen 3 convertible. There don't appear to be any for sale in the UK so have looked at Germany and Italy, anyone any experience or advice?

Thanks in advance

Hi I think buying from Europe may work out more expensive you would be better off direct from America as its winter you would also get a better price on the car

I like to keep an eye on US prices. Nice Gen 3 convertibles are usually around $45k, which means approx £40k by the time all duties have been paid. The best price I've seen over here was a red one for £28k which got snapped up quickly.

If you import from Europe is there import tax and VAT to pay? or has duty already been paid when the car was imported to other EU countries?

No import or VAT to pay within EU.
