Can,t get any, telephoned Mobil, they said you need 10/40 Mobil 1 , get it Halfords or an Esso garage.
All i can get is 00/40 or 15/50, i asked Mobil what will i get if i mix them equally, they said something inbetween.
Anyone on here done this? if not shall i give it a go,
Mobil said 15/50 is too heavy for road use.

I'm new to the forum. Picking up my Viper RT/10 2001 on Monday, which I bought in the States. So many of you suggest different things. I was told from my seller in the States Mobil 1 10-30. So which oil should I buy??? Some of you suggest 3 different types of oil... which one is the one?
I used Mobil 1 10/30 in my 02 RT/10 when it landed i gave it an oil change even before the SVA...

I use Mobil 1 10w30 when i can get it. In the vette and camaro i am currently using magnatec 5w30 from halfrauds. Your Chrysler's dealer can get you the mopar 10w30 supposedly for the viper and I guess what you would get if you had a service there. But the bottles don't offer much information as to if it is fully synth or not and given the DC viper specification it may or may not be unbranded mobil 1 in the bottle or chip fat for all i could tell.
The good thing about Mobil 1 10w30 is when you do find it, it is usually grey or black market and sold with a little bit of mark up on the US price aka cheap.
BTW congrats on the new viper. Watch out for that low rev torque with the onset of autumn...

Just got back from the port and had great fun rollin' the beast on the German highway for couple of hours!!! Thanks for your replies, I'll check out the suggested website and I'll send the email to Dads Toy shortly...
My RT10 is yellow and is a beast. Sorry if you don't like the color, I love it.
The car runs great apart from me running out of gas half a mile ahead of the gas station and the tank seems to let it only 50 litres?! Sort of strange. I though the capacity is 19 gallons, which translates into 70 litres.. Any of you ever experienced anything like that? there was no warning of low gas either.. just chocked. Thereafter, refilled the gas couple of times when the indicator showed quarter of a tank still in.
