I'm up in the Hills, when it chucks it down we get a good river of water passing the front of the drive but it then goes down into the valley so we never have a problem, biggest issue for my area is badly managed trees where ivy has been allowed to grow unchecked and the wet ground and hi winds cause the trees to topple over!
Any of you guys get worried in the bad weather?

We've a small ditch that runs around 2 sides of our garden, its almost always dry but its quite full at the moment!

Most of the roads round here are bordering on the dangerous - pooling water and fallen trees together with new pot holes in the tarmac and yet the motoring public seem to think its business as usual. Stuns me how common sense and courtesy is completely absent on our roads.

Mark you should come and spend a day in east London you will soon appreciate what you got up there with over 80 nationalities fighting for what ever little road space there is no room for manners out here

Zub, I actively avoid driving anywhere inside the M25 where at all possible. I had to drive to City Airport last year - even that brought a sweat on! I don't mind the chaos in London so much its the cameras all over the place that gets me there - Bus lane ones, traffic lights, speed blah blah I can just do without it! Its why I've never been to the Ace Cafe...

Yes fine Mark. We don't seem to have had it as bad as you guys in Surrey. Although the river runs alongside our garden, thankfully the water meadows work well and before now we have been surrounded by water but nothing came as far as the house. Roll on summer smile
