Wanted to take out the viper for a spin today. Reversed from my garage and the clutch felt weird. Next thing the pedal went soft and almost to the floor and I couldn't disenage reverse. Switched off the engine, pumped the pedal couple of times and managed to put neutral, than engaged first and drove back into the garage. The pedal went soft again and had to pump it quite a few times to switch into neutral.

I guess my slave cylinder is gone. I have been driving the car a lot the past weeks and had no problems at all, left it in the garage for couple of days and now that happened.

Anybody has a cylinder for sale or shall I order one from the states? Will use the transmition removal to do the rear main seal as mine is leaking a bit.

On the good note my heads are almost done so will be ordering the rest of the parts (cam, head gaskets, roller rockers, pushrods) and get myself dirty over the winter

smilesmilesmilesmilesmile If only replacing it was that easy.

I know someone that has a new spare sat in the garage if you need a quick turn around else it should only take a week or two to come across the pond. thumbup

Happy days! The viper is back on the road - new slave cylinder, new rear main seal, new trust bearing and also new fast heating O2 sensors to solve the engine check light issue after the belangers. All in took less than 4 hours.
