Just got my renewal quote from CCI - 1200 quid for the 2001 RT/10 eek Tough to swallow and well up on the 800 or so I paid when I first bought the car 3 years ago frown

Any recommendations?

I get this every year. I was with CCI last year but their renewal was silly, so I went back to Stevenage Insurance Services, 01438 313251, who gave me a better price, however, when I was with SIS 2 years ago, their renewal was silly so I went to CCI!? I alternate between the two.

Talk to them about your cover, they changed the policies end of last year, the millage bands changed and they moved people up to the new bands so you may have more mile than you need, plus there is a significant hike if you have commuting included. I managed to cut mine significantly from the original quote, but then I also significantly cut the cover to what I actually need at the moment, which quite frankly is not a lot lol

Excellent suggestions, thanks guys - unfortunately SIS weren't interested (at all) but CCI were very helpful and after changing the policy details to cover what I actually needed; the price came down quite a lot (knocking commuting off = a huge win).

Cheers,
Stuart
