Try asking over on the VCA site.

What is this thing called ABS you talk of? What's it do?

Hi Les,

Just had similar on my SRT. The ABS unit cannot be read by a OBD code reader, you need an ABS code reader (I took mine to the garage for a diagnostic). In my case I needed 2 new rear sensors (which Royal Mail have conveniently lost for me) and once reset the error has since disappeared and reappears briefly after washing the car. The sensors appear to be quite a common point of failure and are not too expensive (about £50 each).

Hope this helps,

Mark

you may want to check the sensor hasn't been knocked as I looks like it needs to be quite close and lets be fair its in a venerable position, check the condition of the toothed wheel and connections while your there.

Gen 4 sensor gap specifications form service manual

FRONT SENSOR 0.127 – 1.20 mm 0.005 – 0.047 in.
REAR SENSOR 0.127 – 1.20 mm 0.005 – 0.047 in.

ABS well! Ginga is correct you need a expanded OBD reader, the Snap On one at £2k wont work, I replaced 2 of my rear sensors the first time, then 2 years later ABS failure again this time I found a small stone on the front right, had lodged in the teeth and gouged a lump of the sensor, I bought a set just in case so I have 2 new rears and 1 new front spare, which I dont need email me if you need them
Once you have fitted a new sensor you have to drive a few 100 mt to check
