Not that fuel is a serious issue, but has anyone fitted an ecotek device to their viper.

I don't have a Viper or an Ecotek device, but I can tell you that from an engineering point of view these devices are a waste of time and money. Their description of how it works are misleading. The only signficant effect from fitting one is to introduce a small un-metered air leak whixh will make the engine run leaner under part throttle conditions. If your engine was set too rich originally, then this will improve economy. However, your car will not be running rich under cruise conditions unless there is a fault or it has been wrongly set up. Have you noticed that the manufacturers don't make any specific claims? This is because they would be liable for fraud if they did. What they do is publish letters from people reporting that they think the things are wonderfull and work really well. Technically not fraud, just misleading.
