Not bad.

While we are on the topic, whats an unmodified viper usually come out at?

I know the camaro's etc are only around £400, I imagine a viper perhaps £800?

If a few things in the pipeline come off there may be a Gen5 in the country before the year is out.

Don't expect to pay the same for a 10 yr+ gen2 as a brand spanking new gen 5, for a start you will probably find very few willing to underwrite a £80k LHD new car, throw in doing it while going through the import process and registration and that number drops even more.

Not a lot of point in discussing prices though, too many variables that are particular to the individual seeking insurance and at the end of the day they seem to make it up as they go anyway

True, probably not dissimilar to a gen4 on pricing. Not silly money either way.
(ie) MP4 or 458 etc..

No, that's not bad, but for some reason they have NEVER been competitive for me frown I know postcodes come into it but when I talk to them on the phone there answer is "oh well, can't beat them all" Its not just the Fast red car either, my old Blue Cobra didn't fair any better! Would be interesting to know how insurance companies make up the quotes?
Just renewed this morning with CCI thumbup

Odd how insurance works for different people. CCI beat my Z06 renewal from flux but when questioned it wouldn't cover Modena, the one track I knew for sure that I would be going to. I gave Flux the opportunity to beat CCI back, which they did so stayed with them. The Z06 is nearly a grand btw, probably not helped by the number that have been crashed......
