Silverstone Classic 2013

Hi all.
I have booking reference for the above event. Please note that Early Bird ticket prices end 31st March and that the car club ticket package offer ends 31st May.
Due to an enormouus oversight,I will be on holiday at the time of the event
!!!
I will make sure that Ady and Dr Bob have the booking reference too, so you can contact either of us to get it.

I don't think thats fair Mark. I think its great that our small little club has people like Matty and yourself who want to put themselves out to organise things that benefit the club. I went last year, along with quite a few others and it was a great weekend out. I don't think we should ridicule people for trying, we should support them where we can otherwise no one will ever feel confident in proposing and acting on something new.

Well done to Matty to Try, YES TRY, to get an event organised, its bloody hard to sort out these things.
Yes we are a small club, even smaller if you count VCA Members. Some owners chose to attend their own events without letting others know their plans! Other members chose to post up there intentions for the forthcoming year. That's just the way it is, you will never change that.
Seeing now as many members subscribe to FB, i thought the response might have been better?
On a personal note I do not like Silverstone, So the chances of me attending any event there is very unlikely

Hey guys, so did anyone take up the offer ? are you having an area there this year ? only asking as I usually put my Gold 75 vette on the corvette UK stand but its in pieces at the moment so going to take my 2009 Challenger SRT8 and wondered if I get stones thrown at me and asked to park elsewhere Lol

I think most people decided it just wouldn't be the same without Matty taking on Neil in the ice cream eating contest, so there wont be much of a viper turn out this year, you are welcome though to park an SRT8 under the viper flag if you can find it, It will likely be buried under a big pile of un-eaten soft serve

Shame there won't be many of you there but I understand :-) viper is still my dream car and I will get there one day :-) thanks for the ok if I can find it lol I Think we just didn't reach critical mass this year and there is probably a bit of event fatigue going on. There is evidence above of one viper going and there's usually one or two who turn up unexpectedly having not identified themselves here, so there may be a couple to a few anyhow. The parking for this always seems a bit chaotic anyway, I don't think we ever found our allocated parking area the first year I went, so we just parked where we wanted then got told to move but with no real direction of where to, so we just parked somewhere else lol

See this PH post of Silverstone Classic. Kevv, posted pics to a request... SPOTTED Richards SRT, must have been Sunday! I ran my tires (took spares!) down to the canvas by then with demo runs and shoot outs! After being woken early by kids screaming around finding a blue / white stripes Viper on the camp site, and then a mass decent of hot air balloon burners the Sat am, then getting a right soaking Sat pm, I retired home to much needed garage work! Did see Richards red Viper Sunday am in the Honda paddock (?) anyway see photo of Richards SRT smokin' the strip that Kevv caught the moment of. The amount of crowd that came to talk to me about the Viper and drag racing and top speed was very enthusiastic. I had to excuse myself from talking... to go meet up with mates racing there!

Bugger, didn't see your reply before we went, I looked at your car as well doh, next time loved the 37 red rod and the 34 3 window drag car, would love to run that upto the Ace Café for Hot Rod nights
You caught me out Nad… skulking around in the Honda paddock, but there was a big flag with Viper printed on it, so I parked next to it.
Must admit, it was a bit lonely out there, that’s why I chose to join the drag cars in the shoot out…. Got my ass whooped launching of the line, those guys were set up pretty good with suspension and slicks, good fun though.
Would have been good to have met up with you and run two vipers off the line for the crowd.
