Going for a dyno run tomorrow before I put the headers/cats/remap and wondering which tyres to use - Kumho V700 or the Michelins? Would it make any difference?

What gear shall I do the run into? 4th? it's a 2002 rt

I will be interested to know what your doing with the remap smile

I don't think it should make much difference on the tyres as long as you keep them on for both before and after dyno runs smile
I would be inclined to use the Michelin's as they are as near to the original Pilot Sports 1s that the car came fitted with.

Depends what dyno.

If it's a decent setup like Dyno Dynamics or Mainline, just use normal tyres.

If it's a less able setup where the rollers dont grip, then the V70's may be required or needed.

used the normal tyres at the end.

478 hp and 480 lb/ft torque on a dyno dynamics. very happy with the result, given that the car has catback, smooth tubes and K&N panel filter. I am a bit puzzled though as when I was swapping the tyres today I saw that my rear o2 sensors are bolted all the way in the back close to the rear shocks...any idea why? Will pull the sills next week to check what cats/mufflers I am actually running as there are none in the back...just straight 3 in pipes.

as I am still awaiting my new CCW classic centres (one of the old ones cracked and got 4 new as a replacement) I had to put the OEM wheels. This time I really hated the chrome and decided to try the Plasti Dip. Wow, so easy to do and gives a great finish. Let's see how long it will last. And also can always peel it away and revert to original.

The specific power output on vipers really is feeble. Im sure its good for the year. But its no better than a stock LS2.
No wonder a good intake, heads and cam can add 300bhp so easily.

I do like them though!

nearly 10 years separating the design of each engine though gen 2 viper circa 96, LS2 circa 2005

more accurate comparison would be the LS1 @ 350 bhp or the gen 3 v10's 500 bhp vs the Ls2's 400 bhp, it took the supercharged ls3 (ls9) to top the 600 bhp of the equivalent age NA gen 4 viper engine and we still beat them around the ring
