Has anyone came across this before?
Seemingly some vipers are prone to rear suspension failure causing the rear link to break, resulting in loss of control.

It can happen, but being honest Its more likley to give on a track than on the road. The brackets help to stabilize the car bringing it safely to a halt rather than preventing the failure wink

I've had a front one crack - as I know a couple of others have too. First time I've seen the back go.

The A-arm I'm talking about. This was my lower left front:

Er, these parts we are talking about are Not for the A arms. They are for the rear Hubs.

I seen at least 3 rear toe hubs break just on road cars alone in UK as people get spirited with the power, the back end starts to slide out and then clips a curb. If it doesn't initally break the cast aluminium it can bend or part fracture it... and then later in time with fatigue suddenly lets go and the rear wheel turns around in the wheel arch at which point any driver is a passenger.

That was me that made half a dozen up a while ago in stainless, I'm not sure if I still have any sets for G3 G4 left now.

So is this something that can affect all Gens or just the 3's? Sounds like something we might want to be prepared for as the cars get older - what a pity the exchange rate dived yesterday!

I was going to get some of the GEN 2 ones for my car and was looking at the heat shields for the rubber gaiters.

Yet another one of those things on "THE LIST" biggrin (gets longer all the time)

I do have real concerns with the state of our roads though, If we noticed Cracks in our A arms, wonder how easy it would be to try and sue the Council for damages?

Hmm, all adding up to making the case for the garage lift a bit more compelling!

From the VPA - who have both left and right from 2010 builds - I wonder if they were revised?
