I don't like to dwell on what people might want to say or have an opinion on most of the time. However, in this instance the general lack of knowledge spouted as fact is reasonably annoying.
When I first got mine I drove through a local village and received the one and only negative comment I've had about the car, some teenager shouted 'tt' from his BMX. Oh and someone recently stated that they were worried when following me as there was a sharp corner in the road. I genuinely didn't understand (because, as we know, the car drives so well) what they were talking about and Katie had to explain it to me...
Ho Hum... If everyone understood they'd be on every corner

Yeah I wasn't going to bother but just replied. It's the same old muppets that type the same old crap on every American car thread. It did take to page 2 before the only x hp to a litre crap this time though. I have a FB friend that runs a 1200 hp viper pretty regular. PH seams to get less enthusiasts and more bell ends that know everything every week
I did have a guy in the office try and convince me the viper had a leaf spring and the vette coil overs. I couldn't convince him otherwise despite owning and serviceing both. Mind i think he was just being a real world troll at the time. Seemed a bit pointless him arguing with me the vette was better than my viper when he knew i owned both.
I Think there is a lot of ignorance out there when it comes to american cars most people dont know anything about it they just jump on the band wagon then there is top gear they get get a lot off the leaf spring plastic bumper getting your legs on fire etc i have been trying to educate folks for 35 years of my life that why i love american cars and why they are so much better then anything europeon.

Its strange why that is the case though, normally as a country we are so much more aligned with the US than Europe. Anyway, its horses for courses, in a strange way our cars wouldn't be quite as fun if they were common (or understood).
ETA: I was going to jump in again and add this video of Sal Patel running his street legal TT at the drag strip but figured adding a drag time into the mix would really stir up the anti american sentiment. Here it is again for you all:

Awesome car, almost like the White UGR TT SRT that's for sale over there at the moment.
