Can't wait to see it.

All right, let's see who can guess the Viper's time on the track and get closest to the actual time:

I guess 1:24.8

Porsche Carrera GT - 1:19.8
Mercedes McLaren SLR - 1:20.9
Ford GT - 1:21.9
Ferrari 360 CS - 1:22.3
Porsche GT3 RS - 1:22.3
Murcielago - 1:23.7
Zonda - 1:23.8
Koenigsegg - 1:23.9
Noble - 1:25.0
Gallardo - 1:25.8
Corvette C6 - 1:26.8
Lotus Exige - 1:26.9
Porsche 911 GT3 - 1:27.2

Some fancy equipment in the list but some jumps from the C6 to the Noble.

Viper handles well and has great brakes but I plump for

125.9

Should be interesting

Hmmm I'd say above the Gallardo maybe above the Noble if all goes well and in favour of the test. I hope the lap isn't dirty like the C6's was.

spoke to Richard last night, the Stig didnt drive the SRT that day so hopefully there was anothers filming day to come.

JC wanted to thrash his RT like they normally do, but Richard stood his ground and wouldnt let him and JC had a sulk doing 'do you know who I am ?' routine he even tried to get another red RT, fat chance ! so he had to give in and drive a lot less furious.

I will be interested to see if JC fits well into the SRT. He looks like a pretty tall guy. I'm only 5 foot 10, and I had the seat lowered with an aftermarket kit. Without the lowered seat, my vision was somewhat obstructed by the top of the windshield and I couldn't fit in the car with a helmet.

It would be interesting to see if 5th gear does a SRT test, and how their perceptions of the car differ.

I think the final time was 128.6 but it was VERY WET, so a very respectable time!

That is faster than the all wheel drive Murcielago when they first tested the Lambo on a wet track (1:29). It's a pretty good time for the wet, particularly for rear wheel drive and no traction control.

I'm still disappointed that they didn't test the Viper on a dry track. Maybe they will do a re-test some time on a dry track like they did with the Murcielago. I'd like to see a dry track test of the Zonda too.

What's the "differnce" between the old stig and the new one?

Got a comment that the wet and dry track time of the Murci has been measured with two different drivers....?

The "old one" should be slower?

I've just read the 'old' (Perry McCarthy) Stig's book, not even he did all one the earlier series as he was out racing in the USA and missed a few.

But he did race in a Viper at Lemans 24 with Justin Bell for Oreca, the race car broke down though. They had been lent a brand new grand cheroke jeep by Chrysler UK for the week and Justin rolled it with all 3 lemans drivers in it, the night before the race !

Don't have a clue who the current driver is ???
