Catch can help please

Ok, I have 2 outlets on the rear of my 2 valve covers, the left bank pipe
goes directly to the catch can, the right bank pipe goes up into
the inlet manifold just behind the throttle body, which defeats
the object of having the can, which is always empty.

Should I plug the hole under the manifold and route the
right bank pipe also directly to the can? seems logical to me?
but would like clarification that it ok to plug the manifold hole

There must more to it that you've explain Sam - like, where is the catch can vac coming from? If it's not vac'd how does it catch oil.....

I have both rocker cover vents and pcv port connected to a catch can - my catch can vac line is the connection you talk about above on the inlet manifold. The vac port on my airbox is blanked.

There are lots of different arrangements people have on this subject so you will have to decide yourself. For instance, some people prefer to vent the rocker covers to atmosphere only.

Good luck.

If you need any further help, just ask.

Ade.

Ta Ade,
How about if I tee the 2 valve cover vents into one pipe, direct to the catch can, then from the catch can to the vac hole in the bottom of the inlet manifold? ( catch can sealed )

Ok, joined the 2 valve cover fittings with a T -piece, run a single pipe direct to the Catch Can,
capped the inlet pipe, all done as per Dr Bobs, except the airbox cap? need clarifcation on this
or was the original valve cover fitting going to the airbox before this can was installed?

driven it a couple of times now, all seems normal

if i have missed anything please let me know
