Just a heads up really. This coming Sunday I will (weather permitting) be participating in the Teddy Bear run from Horley (Gatwick Area) to a Childrens Hospice in Arundel to give a teddy bear to a life limited child. Its a convoy thing with a bunch of interesting and different cars, intended to be a fun day out and entertain the kids! More can be found on the link here. I think there are still a few places so if you are near and want to join in please contact the organiser smile

Sorry for the late notice, I only learned of it late last week...

Happy Christmas to all!

Mark

ONLY for very special occasions and not if the weather is unsafe!

(Actually, I've only used it for Paul since the cold came and after each use there is an intensive cleaning period in the now heated garage!)

Was a very good day out, met a lot of very interesting people! However, the SRT refused to go, seems the battery has died. I've no experience of these yet, are there any special requirements as with the Gen 2 GTS's?

Thanks!

keep the trickle charger plugged in permantly, then the battery should last for years

It is always on charge - Optimate 3 smile Its not just flat its not holding charge and the acid is leaking so I have to do some remedial work on the tray as well. This one is from March 2008 and is a Mopar one which I have heard mixed reviews on - its not done too badly.

As the SRT has top mounted terminals can I not just get one from any battery dealer? USAutomotive were great for the GTS but they are a very long way from me!

yes, just make sure the cranking amps are the same or better, and the sizes are the same

and the + - are in the same position, on many of the ones i looked at (halfords et al) they were the wrong way around

Ps put a little vaseline/grease on the cover plate bolts to make them run easier so you don't strip the heads, they are about $5 each!
