Mary wants a smoke mask for next year!!!!!!!!!!

I keep telling her I was definitely not doing 150mph at the time, it was just an optical illusion!!!!

P.S. Funny noise coming from the front nearside, nothing to do with the barriers that I hit??????

yep what a great day loads of sunshine loads of nice cars....still think Nad should have raced the jet.

Best bit was the Police speed trap on the r/h side managed a very nice 115 passed it and 140 at the bottom of the back straight.

The Ultima and the Lotus thingy were very quick on the track the Lambo was my favourite car there in nuclear orange and he was hanging the tail out.

Only thing that could have spoiled it was going into the chicane on the amber in 2nd and finding a TVR broadside across the track.

Peter, hope the cars OK and get it in the paint shop for some TLC.

Had a great time can't wait till next year. gave over 64 rides, nearly 150 track miles.....a great day.

Only pity was didnt see much of old 91 on the track.

Wow! Reckon I did about 20 rides through the day, but the car just got too hot. Problem with me I just can't pootle round the track - always have to be at 99% of possible effort!

Best bit was cruising down the pit lane @ 20mph in 1st gear to the exit then flooring it to the red line, snatch 2nd with back wheels scrabbling until the red line, snatch 3rd and into the first bend without lifting off - reckon car was doing 120-130mph around the first bend, hit the red line and into 4th. Passengers were strangely quiet by this stage

Need to build up the left arm muscles to hold the turn onto the runway while trying to grab 4th

Great day and everyone seemed blown away by the acceleration of the Viper. Next year we should be able to put on an even bigger show?

Was great to meet some of you yesterday. I was in the yellow 911 with black wheels.

It was a smashing day, though very hot.

Hope the injured Viper gets fixed up soon.

Best Regards

Martyn.

£80 of fuel used.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Mine may be quite fast, but I was truly humbled by Nadine in the morning session when her monster was running at full power!

Best Regards

I was there in the RX7, with all the Drift guys. We only got out on track late in the afternoon though.

Hi Martyn (and please say Hi to Simon too ) will sort out those pics for you (email me an address sometime). Enjoyed chatting to the drifters I met too (hope to come play with you soon)! Good to meet Richard and Mrs with new RT/10, fairplay to going for it after only just picking the car up!

I badly wanted to race that jet! Wanted a go at the Lambo also, but never met up for a head to head...and also had passengers to take care of!

I hope my passengers enjoyed themselves, they were a little speechless, for most it was their first + 160 experience, if they enjoyed themselves half as much as me, then there were alot of very happy people out there!

Yeah did need a strong left arm when turning onto the runway...and a very quick right one...I had at least 5 passengers go for the hand-brake for a grab-rail / looking for something to hang onto !

Thanks Rob and Dee for coming to the petrol station with me when I ran out! And thanks to Neil, for loan of parts, and taking pics

I made a respectable 4 miles to the gallon on the track, it seems doing the odd slow cool down lap, now and then, helped return the econimical mpg.

Update on the low flying grass cutter and tyre masher!!!!

Took the facia off today and can see no damage!! Only thing broken is the trumpet from the after market air horns that I have fitted, great relief.

The funny noise seems to have been a large stone that was stuck in the tread along with 1kg of tar that I picked up during the "smoking" session".

Bring on the next time, when I will charge the organisers to "cut the grass" for them.

For some reason, I didn't take many photo's. Maybe that's 'cos the wife wasn't there to hold the camera for me

I do like this photo though:
