The good news is that the Rudolf Caricciola event is once again on in Germany again on the GM test track dates are :-

Friday 31st August to 2nd of September

Cost is £160.00 and Barbs and I will do the Bank Transfer etc if required

The bad news is that due to staff holidays I cannot go, which is a pity as I missed last year as well.

Any takers ???

Unfortunately I'll have to miss out this year as well frown due to other commitments BUT I know there are others that have expressed an interest.

Not looking good for me either. After checking dates before leaving last year I was assured it was the last weekend in August so that's what I booked off work......

As its the company that makes these trips and Ade and Paul are already out of the picture, i'll watch this tread to see who if anyone can go. It's quite short notice this year and I'm not sure I will be able to swap my holiday dates around

A golden opportunity here for a first class road trip for newbies and established members alike - this will be the 5th year in a row we return and if all is well they will be coming to visit us in September.
Meet German/Swedish friends that always make us feel welcome, in a fantastic part of Europe and spend a day driving at the GM test track - usually 3 events - 1.5 mile ish race circuit, standing 1/4 mile and a sprint track.
The infamous Ring is just up the road too so you can take time-out for a few laps.
I highly recommend it.

So thats it then a bit disappointed only two Viper going this year Neil and me.

You will miss a first class meet, with good food a great Hotel super German beer and the opportunity to go crazy behind the wheel of your car, there is nothing to hit, you can drift, slide burnout to your hearts content.

There are 3 events :-

1/4 mile drag race

Regularity a big circuit with one chicaine the object being to do three laps each as close to time as your first.

Autocross a mass of cones for you to slide round and unlike an Autotest NO REVERSING yippee, two years ago this circuit was as big or bigger than some kart tracks.

I am closing the booking office at the end of this week so if any others want to come you will need to do your own bank transfer.

Hope to see you there !!
