seems a bit daunting taking off the manifold

Taking off the manifold ? Never had to do that on mine when changing plug leads ! (GTS)

I asked the doctor very nicely if he would help me and he did mine. The intake manifold did have to come off to access the distributor thingy on top of the engine. I'm sure you will have a set of the beautiful hand made leads from Adam in the states?

I removed the Wipers and the plastic at the bottom of the windscreen to get to mine.

OK, wasn't sure, but thought it might be. With an SRT I guess ?
