Congratulations to the Comp Coupes... it's been a good year for Vipers racing in UK and Europe, taking championship wins in the MSA Britcar Endurance Championship, and Dutch Supercar Championship.
Aaron, Craig and their team GT3 Racing won outright in the Viper competing against some of the best GT drivers and cars in the UK. They have been unbeatable in their Class-2 Viper, taking 6 wins, 1 second place, 8 pole positions and 8 fastest laps in 10 race starts. In the final round of the Championship last month at Brands Hatch, Aaron qualified the Viper 2nd overall and took the lead at the start of the race. However a fuel pressure issue forced the big snake into the pits after 10 laps. They rejoined the race but were back into the pits before the chequered flag, but not before setting the fastest lap of the race! Despite the the fuel issue, the team had done enough to secure the Team and Driver overall titles ahead of Marcos, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mosler, Lotus... . Best of luck to them in their next race in the New Year, the Dubai 24 Hours, 12-14th January 2012. They then return to the UK to take exciting delivery of a brand new seriesII Viper Comp Coupe to race at a new level in the Blancpain Endurance Series. This series features 5x three-hour races on some of the top European circuits including Monza, Silverstone, Paul Ricard and the very famous 24 hours of Spa which attract over 60 entries and 60,000 spectators.
In Europes Dutch Supercar Championship this year, GT driver Diederik in the Speedtec Comp Coupe settled the Championship win in the final rounds, from Roger and team Rudolph Racing, who for several years ran Vipers and now campaign a GT1 CR5 Corvette.
Already mentioned on this forum, this year also saw the Viper SRT10 ACR 'Ring record of fastest production car achieved with the help of Comp Coupe race team Mintgen Motorsport, where German driver Dominik drove a 7.12 minute lap.
As for my own racing in a Comp Coupe this year... its been rather stagnant (due to fund saving for a bespoke F1 gearbox!) and also being involved in a number of other exciting projects.

its been going on for years but unfortunatly the viper marque is slowly disappearing in race series in the UK, you need to bring it alive Nad !
I remember the good old days of seeing x9 GTS-R's at Donnington and a few years ago a handful of CC's in the Brit GT
Congrats to Aaron, great job. Next time your up this way Nad will have to arrange a visit to see the new car, they are 10 mins from my house
