Hi All

Having been a Corvette nut for a while and now owning my 5th I am lusting after a Viper!....

Seen this car on ebay several times and basically it gets pulled before the auction ends as the bids dont get high enough for the vender!?

See link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230709618381?ssPageName=...

My question is what do you think its worth!?.....I know more than 20K!?

Cheers

James

Hi James, It's a nice looking car, but I would be very suspicous of the declared mileage at only 5200. Also silver is not the preferred colour.

Think I remember the car saw it once I would value it at 24K up to perhaps 28 if it was a true minter.

its quite easy to check the mileage electronically with the correct equipment,
by plugging into the ODB port

it was advertised on PH classifieds a while back when the owner was trying to sell it with the plate, £32K wasnt it? (without the plate)

they arent scary, it just takes some seat time to get used to

I would contact the seller, leave your contact details and make an offer. Then sit back and wait for the phone to ring wink Its a buyers market and it depends how desperate they are to sell wink

The silver one that had V1PER as a plate lived in Cambridgeshire and was imported from Canada

Don't think he had it out much and then wanted to sell it to pay a "Tax Bill"

He would have looked after it and it wouldn't have been a daily driver and would have been gargaed /warehoused.

Cheers you guys for your posts and comments, very helpful!

I think my 7.4 litre Transam will have to make way for a slightly bigger engined machine! (but the Corvette is staying!)

Yes especially black and gold with T tops!.....mine hasnt got the T top option and hence still has a solid rust free floor pan!
Look at the Year One Burt Reynolds edition running a vette engine and see what they can cost!

I will put a wanted ad on for a good early Viper in excellent condition so if anyone has one sitting in the garage or knows of one then I'm your man!

I would p/x with a big block 455 oldsmobile black and gold Trans Am!

Brings back memories.biggrin

I had a black and gold transam, manual, big block with T-tops. Loved that car and the noise with straight exhausts was wonderful.

We had a very "green" neighbour at the time who tried to get a petition up about the car and the noise. rolleyes

Didn't go far as all the blokes in the close where I lived at the time loved the car laugh

Whilst Posting I will take this opportunity to wish one and all:

xmas MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR xmas

Have a good one

Yep it got one already...

Yeah I love the whole American car scene fashion look i.e the cowboy boots, tassle shirt and stetson, I especially love line dancing and Dolly Parton, why else would I be into such cars!?...biggrin

I loved the bit in Top Gear when Hammond bought the Dodge Charger and then introduced us to his "new friends"......I guess it summed up the whole scene really!

How about the Viper and Corvette club ban Country and Western music and the Cowboy look....now theres a thought!??
