Hi steve
You will need the OE factory remote to turn it off....
They are getting expensive and hard to get hold of now, Sold my last one a few months ago...

Try contacting Chuck Tator of tators garage NY AKA Viper wizard...

once you get the remote its needs programming to your car,
so it will be a trip to your local Chrysler/Dodge dealership

unless Dr Bob can tell you away of doing it yourself

get yourself a battery tender, and youll never have the hassle of a flat battery
again

hi guys

i have the same problem here.....only i have key fob.

Baz.....i have tried reprogramming as per the manual...but doesn`t seam to have any effect.

should something happen during the reprogramming.

so far this is what i have...
with battery connected and fully charged....
alarm set on dash and lights constantly flashing.
car will turn over and start, but dies straight away.

i have tried both remotes with new batteries fitted...cant get them to do nothing.
can you suggest anything, or anything i might not be doin correct with re-programming.

when i try the re-programming , dont get any reaction or change in lights.

had a similar problem last year but it seemed to right itself....car was them fine all year.

best regards

ITS ALIVE !!!....ITS ALIVE ...!!!

I finally got the alarm cleared!.....and i did it without the remote fob.
What a sweet, sweet sound has returned to my ears!
I now have 2 new problems though...

1.
Either my remote is duff.....it could be...its 20 years old, or the receiver box is duff.
The remote/alarm has been a bit twitchy ever since i had the car.
Any suggestions on testing either remote or receiver would be appreciated.

2.
What should i do with the information i have about resetting the alarm without the remote fob.?
Obviously this is very powerful information, as in theory, it would allow anyone to disarm a viper....even if they don`t own a viper, if you know what i mean.
Any comments and suggestions welcome.

I'll vouch for baz to have the info also, and if when he has it and he thinks it may also work on a gen2 EEM then can he pass it on to me as i have and EEM that refuses to learn a new fob after all the usual tricks. Its been replaced now but would be good to see if I can get it working again as it otherwise functions fine.
