Snetterton 26th November - Passenger rides
Discussion
Afternoon.
I am one of the organisers for the RMHC Charity Passenger rides in race cars at Snetterton on Saturday 26th November. We have race cars and fats road cars coming to allow the general public to experience what it is like to go around the track in these cars.
I was contacted by a couple of Viper owners a while ago but according to Shawn Taylor Racing, who are co-ordinating the drivers lists, no one has signed up.
If anyone else would like to volunteer and has previous experience (race licence holder for instance) then we would love to have you attend.
PH did run a Motoring News feature on the event last week but you can still register your interest at

Cheers guys

Would like to have attended this event as it's for a very worthwhile chartity and it's my local track. Unfortunately it's totally the wrong end of the season for me. Doesn't mean I'm not coming along to have a few rides though.
Also wouldn't wanna miss watchin Fatty on track.
Anyonelse fancy meeting their and getting involved?.........

is noise an issue on this track.
Well they have not said anything to me about it? What they are saying is this is NOT a track day, its all about driving passengers around the track to raise monies for charity, so Im expecting the rules to be relaxed However I have informed my insurance company of the day so I'm covered "On Track"
Unfortunately, we have to abide by Snetterton's track day rules and they state:
All vehicles participating in track days at Snetterton must conform to the noise limit, on a static test, of 105 dB(A). Noise checks to establish adherence to the relevant limit will be conducted in accordance with current measuring methods as defined by the MSA. Essentially this means that the noise test shall be measured from a position 0.5m behind the exhaust at a 45 degree angle, with the engine running at ¾ maximum revs.
However, we have been advised that road cars shouldn't be a problem and most race cars are fine.
Hope this helps...
