Who's interested in a weekend club get-together during summer 2012?
This would not only give us an opportunity to meet but also allow us to invite our friends from Europe and return their hospitality.
The Silverstone Classic would be a good main attraction http://silverstoneclassic.com. Maybe get some VIP hospitality from Silverstone to make it extra special.
To make it more appealing we could also look at including a Viper run and track driving event.

What the original idea was.
Invite the Germans over, we have been there three times and me far more than that, to a weekend similar to the one they organise, Ade and I have been chatting about this but the one stumbling block was how may Viper owners would actually want to get involved in this, it would or possibly involve the following:-
Stay in Hotel 1-2 nights
Possible track afternoon/morning
2 x dinners
Silverstone Classic or some other event
Ade agree's that an event like tis would be great and I agree but neither of us want to be the only members staying/doing the whole event and left by the rest of the UK as 'Tour Guides' showing our German friends that we can muster only a couple of people.
So sound off your interest and please leave the negative comments like my cat will be left on its own, etc for other forums, all of us should be prepared to support our new 2012 President.

The idea is great, and I am sure that you will get a lot of interested parties. If you can find the right location with minimal restraints on noise etc then it will be a big hit I am sure.

You make me laugh! On one hand you moan that people are posting things like the fact that they can't attend due to restraints with things such as childcare, or, randomly, that their cat will be left at home alone that weekend, or more relevantly, that their car won't pass the noise restrictions, and you state that these are negative comments and should be left off the boards, but then in another breath you moan that no-one comments... The comments are not made as a personal assault on someone for organising something they can't attend. You need to understand that people are posting their reasons for not being able to attend due to the fact that they want people to know that they would, but due to restraints are unable to... because they care! They are registering their interest, apologising for not being able to engage in the enforced merriment, and giving their reason... It's a pretty normal human response.
Personally speaking, I am registering my interest in the event, but whether I will be able to attend at the time remains to be seen, for a lot of reasons... If I can, I will...
Silverstone Classic is definitely on the to do list, but the last couple of years have not been possible for me, here's fingers crossed for next year.

That's interesting to know, and worth noting, as it may put restraints on the Euro visitors if they are attending a big VCA event as well. Might be worth finding out a little more about this. Plus for the UK owner's, it may be more attractive to some as a big event they would rather attend, if from a financial perspective a choice has to be made.Are your aware there's a big VCA event in Switzerland next year, some are coming over from USA for it. its on the 18th of May Barbs, they have 42 vipers registered already to celebrate 15 years of the swiss region formingid imagine some of them are from the german VCA
