Dr Bob got us a deal on these a couple of years back, I fitted HID's to the dipped beam on my 2000 Gts. The HID's come with a Ballast box which you can fit within the headlamp unit. I do recall there was a problem with the wiring to the HID ballast box , we had to swap the wires around on the harness connector to get the lamps to work. Give the Doc a call smile
You can use HID'S on the Main beam too, but they take a few seconds to warm up, so not ideal if your coming up to a bend at night fast wink

In my opinion the HID's make an enormous difference over the stock candle power lights. I have a set for my fogs as well, but unfortunately the wiring connectors to enable me to connect them were wrong so haven't been able to fit them as yet, (still, I've only had them for 14 months).
