So, . . . when an SRT-10 finally gets on Top Gear, what do you suppose the verdict will be? Something tells me that Jeremy won't be a big fan. No doubt the Viper is a bit too unrefined for his tastes, he'll be grumpy with the bumpy ride, he won't like the interior, and he will likely burn himself on the side exhaust sill. I would hope that the car's performance might help him overlook the rough edges, but looking back on the episodes I've seen, I'm not sure I've ever seen him say nice things about a car that doesn't have a mid-mounted engine. I can't imagine he will care for a rude American muscle car like the Viper.

I'm looking forward to seeing the show (if and when) he reviews the new Viper, but I'm not too optimistic as to the outcome.

I'm afraid to say your so wrong, JC actually got married in a Viper (rt/10) driving it to church and leaving a couple of 30ft black marks outside afterwards, he has raved about the viper in earlier programmes.

DC needs to sort there act out and get the Stig into one ASAP.

Gotta say in my humble opinion and for what its worth, I think that Top Gear on TV is a load of toss, a few interesting shots of decent cars interjected by a lot of smart ass comments by a collection of total pricks. Just my two cents worth and not a programme I'll be sad to see removed from the screen. More of Stig like activities and less of the boring tosspots thankyou.

Glad to hear it. Makes me like Jeremy and the show even more. It would be interesting to see what an SRT-10 lap time would be compared with the other cars they've had on the program. It can be a bit unforgiving, but when driven well, it's quite a weapon at the track.

Some folks clearly don't like Clarkson's spouting off his opinions, but here in the US, there aren't really any shows even comparable to Top Gear. Most are simply paid advertisments for the products they review, with nothing bad said about anything. Whether you agree with Clarkson or not, at least he speaks his mind.

Have you actually had to endure a full episode of Top Gear. So much better to tape it and edit out all the boring irrelevant wisecracks by Jeremy and his cronies, at least that way the footage of cars can be enjoyed. Fifth Gear with Tiff Needall is so much more involving. AND theres more.....the US has lots of interesting car and bike related programmes. Super2NR may be aimed at a young audience, but its sharp, current, deals with performance cars and doesn't have boring presenters etc etc.

I'm sure that Top Gear will review the Corvette and Viper at sometime. They've practically tested every other car in the same market (360, 911) and so their running out of cars in the same bracket. I was hoping that the Viper Competition Coupe would be tested alongside the 360CS and 911 GT3-RS but I think JC and TG as a whole know it will be egg on their face when the cars do well with The Stig driving. The C6 is major news in the car industry (and has been featured in TG magazine), but no references to it in the programmes.
