I said along quad turbo was the only way to go

its the taking part and all that, that counts

It must have serious grip and very large HP to put that time in, it now holds the 1.2 mile top speed record, lets hope its not there in August, else VENOM500 will have to take off the handbrake

That's the CRD Supra.

Get this, somebody in a Skyline was going down the strip and was in th 3 figures, yet the same driver, only driving a heavily tuned Impreza (another one of their demo cars) turned around, as you do on a drag strip to get back to the start line (seperate lanes onside), but only headed up in the same line in which the Skyline was going down in at high speeds! Fortunately no accidents...

Yeah me thinks that too now. There are a few other big power Supras coming to the event - should do ok if they can even get the power down to the ground/traction.

The event was Scooby Shootout, mostly Subaru's

Calders Impreza ran 10.9, @ 116mph. They are claiming around 550bhp, and they say they are not using Nos. They are hoping for under 10s, with Nos and a fwe other mods. This car was to run at TOTB3, but not sure now.

Some of the speed readings were strange on that day also. Seems to be a regular thing there.

The Supra is also their demo car, claiming 975bhp, and it has one of the biggest turbos Ive ever seen on a car. Sounds awesome too. It will AFAIK be running at TOTB3.
But.....it did do a mid-low 10s run at the weekend, with around 140+ terminals. This was however using full slicks.
They had 3 sets of tyres with them. Road type tyres, BFG Drag Radials, and the M/T slicks.
It did do 201.6mph, which is pretty quick....

It has run under 10secs at Santa Pod a couple of weeks ago. Not sure on what tyres though, but again, Id guess slicks.

www.scoobyshootout.co.uk for the results.

Seems they arent up there yet...
