Paul:
Besides the "Showcorso" ->100/200 Vettes and a number of Vipers there will be some racing events on Saturday.
We (VCAS) will arrive Friday afternoon (I think we will stay at the Holiday Inn) and leave on Sunday morning.
CU,
Markus
P.S.: In case you attend Steve's BBQ give him my greetings! Thanks.

Spoke to one of the German based Americans who attends this each year and I now have the low down.
There are a number of track based events and also a big show and shine competition.
The track events require helmet, race suit, gloves and boots. There are 2 qualifying sessions the 2nd of which is timed and decides if you get to compete in the Shootout at the end of the day (top 30 vettes/vipers) (12 laps).
There are a number of 9 lap races during the day, one for stock vettes/vipers only and three for different classes of vettes.
There is also a 5 lap regularity where you do 5 laps of the track and the middle 3 count, the aim is to do each of the 3 laps at the same pace, which can be 10 MPH or 200 MPH it is up to you. (20minute limit for the 5 laps).
There is also the chance to lap the track in your vette / viper even if you are not taking part in the racing.
Costs are as follows:
Racing €360 + insurance of €65
Regularity €100 +insurance of €65
Just qualifying €80 +insurance of €40
Show and Shine €20
there is €50 for something else just can't translate it from German!
Please let me know what you want to do as we need to send forms and money before we go. (by the 21st of June?)
