sp1 help plzzzzzz

i dont know if any one can help me here but i have just had a brand new tyre fitted on the front of my sp1 and know it tanks slaps like a b****** the slightes bump or white line and it bucks like mad??? same tyre as what came off pirreli super corsas sc2's checked the alignment and thats fine preesure the same any ideas any one???

Have you checked the rear end - tyres, pressure etc? Many apparently front-end problems are caused by the rear.

Also, since the profile of the new tyre is probably more pointy (since the centre isn't worn) it'll be more inclined to be deflected by bumps etc.

Thanks for that i know a lot about car suspension but bugger all on bikes, the rear tyre does need replacing so hopefully that will cure it then thanks

Would play in the headstock bearing cause this?

Worth a look anyway.

Friend of mine had a similar problem on his SP1

He fitted a steering damper to it....seemed to do the trick.

Have you checked runout on the rim? It may have been a bit tight getting the tyre on/off
