Interesting track that Cadwell
Discussion
Well guys you missed a good day.
It didnt look good in the morning absolutely pissed it down until lunch time. Fergus and myself decided to call it a day but then it stopped.
I went out while the track was still wet and I dont mind saying it absolutely shat myself

As the afternoon went on the sun came out and the track dried quite quickly so I gave it another go and gradualy my confidence grew. with a bit of tweeking on the susspension to help soak up some of the bumps on the corners I started to enjoy it by the last few sessions and even managed to overtake a couple of people

Whats that mountain all about then

I was by the end Fergus but at around 2pm I really having a bad time out there. Still unsure of the track and having big probs with front of the bike.
I was really tense until the last 2 sessions. Mind you how many did we get in the end 4/5? and I came in early on the first.
I think also a problem may have been I wasnt going fast enough to get heat in my tyres until the end, then confidence came and I was getting faster.
That one corener called Hairpin! jesus that what giving me the willys every time.
At 2pm I would have gladly never gone to Cadwell again. By the end of the day I was thinking I need to go again

Did you have a further tweak with your suspension? I reckon you need to have the front set up softer. If you back off the preload another 1/2 to one turn and go a couple of clicks softer on the compression you will notice more benefit in holding a tighter line. You can probably leave the rebound as it is, otherwise you'll get a pogo stick setup!
no further adjustments but going home on fast on streight road i thought I was going to be sea sick
its turning in quicker but i was running wide out of the corners. even drifted into the other lane at one point.
So if I am to run with less pre load do I need to raise the forks through the frame by 5mm(effectivly lowering the front) so it will still hold the line I take. AS reducing the pre load effectivly raises the front of the bike?
it may just be that I need to get used to the new settings. as well as compression, pre-load and re bound I also dropped the tyre pressures for 36/36 to 32/30
