I want to touch her up before she goes
Discussion
....The Ducati of course. Problem is, no one seems to do touch up paint. Tried Ducati in Chelsea, tied Bullet Motorcycles on New Kings Road and even Dave Robinson couldn't help - any one got any ideas on where to get Ducati touch-up paint?
(Ooh, and if anyone has a VFR 750 they're looking to sell for the £3-4k mark, don't be shy)

C993,
Depending upon the extent of the damage (stone chips I presume?), I would suggest either leaving it altogether as touch ups are very hard to get right (oh er), or consider getting the offending panel flashed over completely. It shouldn't cost that much. Get them to spend some time going for a colour match though as the ducati red can be a pig to get the pigments in the paint to match up!!!
Good luck. The other way of doing it is to go to Halfords and find the closest match, then colour magic the panel. Stickers are also another idea!
954_G (anna) may be able to give you some 'Hello Kitty' ones!

I dont know if there is a company like this near you but here in Cumbernauld (Near Glasgow) there is a mobile guy who can colour match your paint and he fills in small dents and stone chips.
He actually used to live next door to my sister and he told me they use a specialist tool to paint it that only fills in that area and blends it to the old paint work.
I dont know if anyone else has had experiance with these types of companies but it does sound ideal for what your looking for. But be warned
I nearly fell off my chair when they qouted me to remove a dent in the roof of my 1960 mini

Forgot to mention I spoke to this company last year and they reckon on matching any bike colour, from any year, using frame numbers as reference. Give them a bell:

call me cynical, but I wouldn't get these guys to pop round to your house to do the work. You never know who they now....
probably better to get them to come to work (if you ride your bike to work).
Hi Cynical

Does it matter where they nick your bike from; home or work?
I rode my bike to the local nick and got perspective buyers to view it in their public car park when an interested party requested a viewing. I ran the nick first to ask the cop on the desk if it was ok, as I didn't want to reveal my address, and he thought it was a great idea as those with a dodgy charactor would leave well alone.
The first visitor turned into buyer and he said it made him more comfortable with carrying the cash.
...and I had no tax
