Try fwr.co.uk - they're the cheapest I've found.

Lads,
I want (production) race tyres, not road tyres. The 020's, azaros, etc do not have the same grip levels and also tend to let go in more unpredictable ways! (e.g. any dunlop!)
Stig,
If you're not going to use your SM wheels on the road, try Maxxis tyres (supplied by Goldspeed). Sensibly prices, and sensibly sticky! You up for the SM 'trackday'?

Mate, is this just for road/trackday use? If so, then get yourself down to a racetrack for a Bemsee race weekend. Then go for a walk around the paddock. If you spot someone with either a thou or a 600 and some "used" tyres lurking around ask them how much?
I just got a pair of Renns RS1 front and RS2 rear that have been through 1 test day for £15. Ok, so they're not going to set a lap record, but they've only been through the 1 heat cycle so they're still better than the road renns.
Hope this helps.

Bennyboy,
This year it's just trackdays, as the budget says no to racing! I don't mind ex-test tyres, but anything that's over-blued (i.e. heat cycled to buggery) will be like riding on an old slick - i.e. slippery.
RS1/SC1 front and RS2/SC2 rear would be lovely. £15 for a set. I take it that was from a factory team? Most bemsee tyres are not in good nick when they come off the bike, as people don't have the budget to change them all the time. Even at MRO level, only some people go through shed loads of tyres.
I will have a look on the bemsee website.
ta.
PS are you up for any PH trackdays this year? See other post on subject!
