To save me the embarasment of giving myself a hernea in the bike shop, anyone know how easy it is to pick the back end up of a Bandit'ish' 600 bike and hop the back wheel 6 inches sideways
At the moment this is what I have to do with my 'bigger and heavier than it has any right to be' 125 to get it round the back of the house and into it's 'garage'

Easy, especially if you use the rear shock to bounce it......push down first then lift.

Does this mean a new bike is on the cards?

Have you tried standing facing the bike, holding the bars and pushing the bike onto it's stand so the back wheel lifts? you can swing it round. There's less chance of dropping it, more grip and weight isn't an issue.

The screamer only has a side stand so I just lean it into my body and bounce/drag it round the corner, I then get some steam up pushing it into it's shed so I can bounce up the 3 inch step
I don't think it will be to much of a problem by the sounds of it

if you DO go for a bandit 600, you get a centre stand, so you could try something like a

motor mover 2 (M&P 525135)

or the back wheel motor mover 1 (525134)
I might even be able to get them cheaper.. but not a lot.
