starting problems.
Discussion
Hi i was wondering if anyone could help.
My bike was fine yesterday morning going to and from work, i got home and stopped my bike on the drive so it was facing up hill and it was on the stand. I got off, opened the garaged door got back on and as i tilted the bike upright the engine died. (about 4:30pm)
Now the bloody thing won't start (7:25am) anyone have any idea why it would do this?
Its a 125 (though i don't know if this would make a differance) with an electric starter and there is about 1/2 a tank of petrol.
Thanks.

First things first, check for something obvious. Fuel tap and kill switch. I have overlooked these in the past and made myself look a right !
All where it should be? Test for a spark. Do this by removing the spark plug, earthing it on the engine block and turning the engine over.
If no spark, electrical problem. These scare me - my solution would be to phone up somebody who knows what they are doing.
Got spark? Probably a fuelling problem. Crap in the carbs. This is a not an instruction, it is a possible explanation. Cleaning carbs is not difficult, you need a plastic washing up bowl full of petrol and a toothbrush. Disassemble, clean, reassemble.
Check that your fuel line is not crimped.
Still no joy? Time for the AA and the local dealer...
