Rossi Second fastest at Sepang. Honda should be worried

Comparing the times, you'd have to say so. Sete and Max must be anxious.

Max Biaggi - 2'02.585 (50 laps)
Sete Gibernau - 2'02.7
Tohru Ukawa - 2'03.2 (76 laps)
Nicky Hayden - 2'03.2 (68 laps)
Colin Edwards - 2'03.3 (38 laps)
Makoto Tamada - 2'03.5 (30 laps)

Valentino Rossi - 2'02.75 (59 laps)
Calros Checa - 2'03.72 (88 laps)
Norick Abe - 2'05.05 (52 laps)
Marco Melandri - 2'05.55 (52 laps)

Motogp.com have got Rossi's first practice on the Yamaha here (4MB)

But Rossi always out-performs the others in a race situation.....

I don't think you can really read much into the figures as they are....

You have got to hand it to him! The guy is something else. They have still got two and half months of testing yet!! This WILL be an excellent season.

The bike didn't look as stable backing it in on the brakes as as the honda seamed to. It'll be interesting to see how much development Yamaha put into the bike this year..Nice bit of rear wheel action though
