Last year they gave us 'Biker Boyz' - a renowned steamer of a movie and now they are about to release Torque, a film which has been described as 'ball-licking'!

Why can't Hollywood make a half-decent bike movie? The only thing I remember about the first Matrix sequel was the awesome Ducati chase-sequence. I'd definately pay to go see a well made film with some fast bikes in it.

Does anyone know of any films which can please a biking PHer?

p.s. Does anyone know what happened to 'Faster?'. I'd love to see it but last I heard its release was encountering some financial difficulties.

When me and my mates all had Z1000's in the early '80's, the original Mad Max was the cult film. Showing my age or what !

I just remembered the Ducati 916's ragging it all round the place in the film 'Fled'

That's one worth checking out

What is Biker Boyz like then as I nearly picked it up in Blockbuster the other night. The missus gave me one of those looks though so went for Bruce Almighty instead.

Wasnt there supposed to be a film about MotoGP being produced? Interviews with Rossi et al?

Even the Ducati chase in the Matrix II was a bit stoopid when a 2 ton US cop car can keep up with it, Puhhlease....

The fact that they spell Boyz with a 'z' was enough to stop me watching it. The reviews have been enough to keep it that way!

What about the scene with Mr Cruise on a Triumph in Mission Impossible II. Most credible riding ever seen.

Actually the openning sequence to a film called Taxi (I think) with a guy on a pizza scooter was fantastic, that was pretty amazing in fact!!!!

In my opinion the best 'biker' film of all time is 'On Any Sunday' by Bruce Brown. It stars Steve McQueen (as himself), Mert Lawwill and Malcolm Smith amongst many others. It's more of a documentary than a film, but none the less, it still captures the essence of motorcycling and why so many of us do it.

Highly recommended.

Faster is apparantly to be released on R1 dvd in march.

Bit out of date by now, especially with all the recent team changes.

Tom Cruise in MI 2 - riding might be credible, but his bike is caught by an SUV during the chase scene
