Coughing on blips
Discussion
is it only doing it in cold weather? If so, check carb icing problems. An end can alone would not make a bit of difference to this problem at all. Also check the strength of your spark at the plug - you could have an ignition problem, which will not be as obvious when the engine is revving faster - but not under load. Is there any hesitancy when the engine is under load (i.e accelerating)?
Please can someone tell me how the engine is getting far more 'through put'. Depending upon the design of the can, the 'scavenge' cycle of the exhaust stroke can actually be worsened in terms of volume displaced, hence reducing efficiency..... let me know.

It does it in any weather, can't remember the last time it was warm tho'
It started doing it after I had put a few thousand miles on it, and it seems to do it regular as clockwork now.
I've never had any other problems with it either, fine under acceleration etc.
I've never had carb ice problems and I ride all year so don't think its that.
